eosean asked: What's the difference between knowledge and belief?
What's the difference between universal and arbitrary claims?

Would you kindly answer these questions?
Thanks. Cheers.

To the New Year!
This year, I resolve to be more open with myself and with my loved one.  This year, I resolve to come out of the atheist closet to my family members. What are your resolutions for the New Year?

The controversial prelate appointed less than a year ago by Pope Benedict XVI to push the liberal-leaning Catholic Church in Belgium in a more conservative direction has sparked yet another uproar by telling a government commission that the church has no obligation to compensate victims of sexual abuse by priests. “The civil court must determine the compensation and the offender [the...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *wipes away tear* Oh man, the Bible would have been a) more easily dismissed as ridiculous, b) made Jesus look like a total asshole, and c) made Christians look more ridiculous than they do now. “No, dragons totally existed when Jesus was alive.” > “Mary was a virgin.”

Evolve as a Plant! →
I came across this link while browsing Tumblr.  It’s a really nifty game where you try to survive as a wild plant or farmed plant.  I think my 7th and 8th graders would really get a kick out of this in their science classes.

My Journey to Atheism (Part Five)
Part One can be seen here, Part Two can be seen here, Part Three can be seen here, and Part Four can be seen here. The rest of my high school years were an emotional struggle.  Mentally, I was torn between being a good, upstanding Mormon and fitting in with the friends I did have that were not Mormon.  After all, I didn’t fit in with the teenagers who attended my church.  I often toed the...
