RANDOM NOT-SO-INAPPROPRIATE QUESTION: In you opinion, in a thousand years, who will be seen as a greater charlatan: Joseph Smith, or L. Ron Hubbard?

Anonymous

I would have to go with Joseph Smith.  L. Ron Hubbard may have convinced people with slightly more crazy beliefs, but only Joseph Smith could have convinced his followers to incorporate polygamy only a few years after founding a religion.  Hopefully, it’s eventually more publicly exposed as a con and Joseph Smith is exposed as the con man, charlatan, and misogynist he was.
